WHAT MAKES MOMS OF LITTLE ONES DIFFERENT?
Moms of Little Ones is different from other moms ministries because we all know how intimidating it can be to step out of our comfort zone and try to make real connections. MOLO is intentional in everything we do from the events we plan to the way each mom is welcomed.
The mission of MOLO is to bring moms together by building community and helping them find God’s purpose in their lives not only as mothers, but as women. We also believe that no matter where a mom is on her journey, she is welcome at MOLO.
WHAT IS THE NEED?
In the fall of 2018, a small group of moms met to discuss an idea for a moms ministry that would be able to reach and disciple moms of young children throughout Aquidneck Island in a way that some of the local and international moms groups have been unable to do. We wanted to start a ministry that would not require joining at a specific time of year or paying dues; one that would meet the needs of the highly transient Aquidneck Island community where families are here anywhere from a few months to a lifetime.
HOW DO WE MEET THE NEED?
MOLO was established to be a place where moms can meet other moms in a relaxed environment and build relationships. For moms of little ones, there seems no better way to do this than with a space for kids to play and free coffee for moms.
MOLO maintains a calendar full of activities like our bi-weekly play dates, multi-session Bible Studies, and monthly Moms Night Out. During the warmer months, we plan to keep our calendars full with beach days, family picnics and play dates at playgrounds all across Aquidneck Island.
HOW DO WE GROW?
Behind the scenes of MOLO is a leadership team that meets twice a month to plan activities, find ways for moms to connect and grow, and discuss future plans of MOLO. Moms of Little ones is still very young, but we are constantly looking for ways to improve and grow that allows us to remain faithful to our mission of empowering and discipling moms of young children by building relationships through community and encouragement.
